How many times did you end up messing up a project because you used low-quality tools?
The answer is probably – a lot. However, you can put an end to it by finding and purchasing tools of appropriate quality. We have covered some of the best staplers on the market, and this particular one offers more than enough features for occasional DIY tasks. Due to the massiveness of the market, it’s pretty hard to find the best suiting staple gun for your needs, especially if you have no experience with these things.
Take a look at this review, and you should find a good amount of info about this staple gun. If you like what you see, don’t hesitate to invest some money. In fact, it’s a pretty affordable unit with a ton of useful features.

Stanley TR45K Light Duty Staple Gun – The Basics
This particular model is a great solution for people who need a light-duty tool. It doesn’t offer a super-impressive amount of possibilities, but it’s more than enough for occasional DIY tasks. The thing that makes it worth checking out is the quality of production, especially when durability is in question. The chrome-plated casing is sturdy, and it can withstand quite a beating.
Apart from the durable design, its Quick-jam-clear mechanism comes in handy, especially if you’re planning to tackle a mid-sized project. However, don’t plan on doing massive DIY tasks with this particular stapler because it won’t be able to cope with the situation.
The design is standard; there aren’t any impressive things about it. The thing people like the most when it comes to the design is the lack of weight thanks to the lightweight metal casing. Some other models on the market can weigh up to a few pounds, and it can have a negative impact on your health, especially if you’re prone to joint pain and fatigue.
The lever is quite easy to push meaning you don’t have to worry about getting tired after a couple of minutes of use. Instead, you can use this particular staple gun for a couple of hours before you take a break.
The ease of use
Although using these units isn’t exactly rocket science, there are some models on the market that are pretty complex and hard to get a hold of. However, the Stanley TR45K doesn’t have the same problem. Using this model is as easy as it gets, even if you don’t have any previous experience. All you have to do is load it with supplies, squeeze the trigger, and that’s it!
The quick-jam-clear system
While it’s not a complex mechanism, it’s still worth mentioning that it exists. Whenever the unit jams, all you have to do is – unlock the system and unjam it manually. Even though it doesn’t sound as a crucial upside, having a Quick-jam-clear mechanism saves a lot of time and hassle. Considering the affordability of this product, the fact that it does feature this system is pretty overwhelming.
Things we liked about it
The first thing we noticed is the simplicity of the unit. There aren’t any overly-complicated things you need to care about while using this stapler. The only thing you need to think about is wearing some safety equipment, especially gloves.
The price is what makes this particular model different from the others. It’s a well-built and affordable tool, which is a pretty rare thing nowadays. These things are either too expensive or of extremely low quality. Luckily, this particular one is somewhere in the middle. Stanley is a well-known company, and you shouldn’t have any issues whatsoever with the TR45K model.
As we already mentioned, light weight is one of its most notable features. Therefore, if you’re looking for particularly light models, this one could be a good solution.
Things we didn’t like
Although it’s a great product, it doesn’t come without a few disadvantages. The number one shortcoming of this and many other manual models is jamming. Some companies found the solution to it, while others didn’t. Luckily, the Stanley Company has integrated a simple anti-jamming mechanism which should serve as a good solution for these unpleasant occurrences.
Some people reported that they found the lever hard to push. It’s more a personal preference, but you shouldn’t find it too hard to push as it’s one of the more convenient ones on the market.
General user impressions
People who bought this particular model are pretty pleased with it. The reviews on the Internet are positive, with an occasional negative one, which is quite normal and expected. Not everybody likes simplicity and affordability.
While it’s a great little tool for small DIY projects, you should avoid starting any large ones. The reason is simple – this particular model isn’t designed for mid or large-sized projects.
The price-to-quality ratio is pretty good, which is one of the most important things when it comes to these affordable units. You don’t want something that’s going to last for a month or two, regardless of how cheap or expensive it is.
Manual staple guns are almost a must-have tool for every devoted DIY-er. If you’re on a tight budget, this one should serve as a pretty good solution. You shouldn’t expect any miracles from it, but it does meet some basic needs.
It’s quite a reliable unit which is one of the important things in the manual staple guns category. Many other models on the market tend to break after only a couple of uses. Thanks to the great reputation of the Stanley Company, you don’t have to worry about it dying on you in the middle of a project. In fact, warranty conditions are pretty good and favorable. Take a look and see if it meets your requirements. If it doesn’t, feel free to check some of our other reviews.
