Bosch GTS1031 – The Basics
This particular model is great both for professionals and beginners. It offers more than enough features for smooth and quick operations. The best part about the GTS1031 is its portability. In other words, you can carry and install it wherever you want without any hassle at all.
The motor is pretty powerful meaning you will be able to cut through any wood without worrying about kickback, the sharpness of the blade, or the amount of RPM. You can rest assured that it will do the job well, regardless of your requirements. It’s also quite durable, stable, and precise. Needless to say, those are the three most important elements you should look for in any other table saw.
As we said, mobility and balance are the two main advantages of this particular model. Bosch Company is well-known for producing tools that are well-designed, durable, and most importantly – affordable. The GTS1031 isn’t different from any other unit produced by Bosch; it will fulfill most of your expectations, especially when you consider how affordable it is.
The base is neatly designed, and it has a convenient carry handle so that you can move the unit around using only one hand. One other notable feature of the design is the convenient storage. It may not be a lot of free space, but it’s more than enough for a set of some basic tools such as screwdrivers, sandpaper, and so on.
1700 watts of power is more than enough for a unit of this size. It offers a possibility to cut even through dense wood without any major drawbacks. The best thing about it is the fact that it can be plugged into a regular household electrical grid. Therefore, you don’t need any additional sources of power in order to operate the GTS1031.
Precision and reliability
The SquareLoc Rip Fence allows you to cut wood with great precision and maximize the output. It’s designed to prevent loss of material meaning you won’t have much debris after you’re done with the project.
As far as the safety goes, this particular table saw is packed with security mechanisms. It has a rip fence, push stick, miter gauge, and a Smart Guard System. Every one of these parameters improves the overall safety aspects of this model. Therefore, even if you’re an absolute beginner, the chances of something going wrong are minimal. However, don’t forget to read the user manual and get familiar with some basic working principles of table saws so that you can avoid any unpleasant surprises or injuries. Needless to say, safety equipment is mandatory, regardless of your previous experience with these tools.

Good safety features
Subpar quality considering it’s manufactured by Bosch
Things we liked about it
There are a lot of likable things when GTS1031 is in question, but we’ll point out the most important ones. The first things everyone notices are its ease of use and portability. If you’re working on a construction site, there is a high chance that you’ll have to move around often. Thanks to the light weight of this product, you can carry it around without thinking about fatigue and back pain. In fact, the convenient handle mitigates the whole moving process quite well.
Storage is also pretty useful. There isn’t much free space, but it’s more than enough for keeping few most important tools within reach. It saves a lot of time and nerves.
Things we didn’t like
Many people said it’s one of the worst tools that were ever made by Bosch. We wouldn’t go that far, but it could have been designed better, to say the least. Also, there is a worrying amount of defective units being shipped out. Therefore, the quality control department isn’t something they should be proud of.
As far as the performance goes, it does its job quite well. You will stumble upon a few nuisances, but that’s the case with almost any heavy-duty tool. As soon as you adjust and fine-tune it to your personal preferences, you shouldn’t have any major issues whatsoever.
General user impressions
People who bought the GTS1031 seem pretty pleased with it. There were a few cases of negative impressions, but it happens with any other product on the market. There will always be people who like it and individuals who simply hate it. The key is in finding good use while saving some money at the same time. As far as your budget goes, you don’t have to worry about it; the unit is quite affordable and accessible to people with limited finances.
If you’re looking for a decent unit, don’t hesitate to check this particular one out. It offers quite a lot of features for a relatively acceptable amount of money. There are plenty other models on the market with the same features, but most of them are significantly more expensive. In the end, it’s up to you to decide whether it meets your expectations.
As far as we are concerned, investing in this model isn’t a mistake. It will fulfill your expectations, especially if you’re a hobbyist. On the other hand, devoted professionals might want to keep looking; this model won’t offer any impressive or miraculous outcomes.
